About River Dolphin
River Dolphin Hotel in Kratie, Cambodia, opened April 1, 2014. The hotel name was inspired by the Irrawaddy Dolphin,
a small population of which live in the Mekong River near Kampi rapids,
just north of Kratie. Viewing the dolphins in their natural habitat is
one of the most popular activities for visitors to Kratie. The dolphins
are endangered, so care is taken by boat drivers to avoid harming the
animals when taking visitors to see them. The dolphins can also be
approached by kayak.
